DAMAS Corporation is a Birmingham, Alabama based engineering and service company specializing in Control and automation systems for material handling equipment. DAMAS Corporation was established in 1985 to provide continuing technical support and preventative maintenance on the then state-of-the-art automated material handling system at the USX world class pipe mill in Fairfield, Alabama. With this strong base in maintenance of automated systems, DAMAS expanded by providing short term field service and engineering services. Over the past few years, DAMAS personnel have traveled the world to such locations as Mexico; Napier, New Zealand, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Mendoza, Argentina, as well as all across the United States to provide service for their clients. During this time, DAMAS personnel have commissioned the controls on over twenty container cranes, provided construction management for a large box handling port that ships New Zealand apples, set records for uptime from the automation system and control devices on seven container craines on the east coast, and supplied total maintenance for a revolutionary bag handling facility in Houston, Texas. DAMAS was founded on the principle of providing client satisification, and they are dedicated to maintaining that principle.
